First pages!

Hey world!
The first two pages are ready!!
The only thing that's missing is the text for the document the abbot is holding in his hand. My cousin's working on the perfect formulation.
I thought a lot about the right kind of coloring for our comic and decided for a very dark, mignola-like color palette. After all it's not one of my funny cartoons.
I worked with textures and different kinds of brushes in order to give it a "painted" and slightly disturbed look.
If you have any suggestions, also regarding the lettering, I always like to hear them!
I especially don't know if there is a better lettering font and if the font size is too big.
So, let me know if you have any ideas!

  2. Looks lovely, Sarah!

One thing you'll want to keep in mind is the 180 degree rule, which basically means you should avoid switching abruptly to the opposite side of a character. There's a jump like this between the last panel of the first page and the first panel of the second page: suddenly we cross to the other side of the bearded man, and then back again.

(As an experiment, try flipping the first panel of the second page, and I think you'll find that the pages read more smoothly. That isn't a permanent solution here, because it would put the window on the wrong side of him, but it would demonstrate the principle nicely. Something to remember for subsequent pages.)

  3. hammer ! die ersten seiten sehen ja schonmal sehr vielversprechend aus !! wirklich super gezeichnet !
